Pictured above is my spread for the first and second stanzas! To go with the theme of embarrassment as entertainment, we as a group decided to portray him as an animal to show how he is dehumanized and seen as uncivilized. In order to unify all of these different portrayals of him, I proposed that we draw all the animals in the same bodysuit with a bright diamond pattern which is very reminiscent of circus imagery. For the description of his facial features being "a mustache that nearly touched the fat spit curl on his low brow" I wanted to emphasize the cultural meaning of "low brow" meaning of low intelligence so I drew him with his mustache touching the worms on top of is head to show how he has worms for brains. For the euphemism of "like his Y, wears his tail on the left" I decided to portray it using a literal tail made out of the letter Y and have him shown as a donkey in a game of pin the tail on the donkey.
I also aided in some of the imagery on the other spreads. I created the "devastated hearts" for Camilla's spread and the leaping monkey sequence for Nicole's spread.
